How I understand it, the same way those who are serious car enthusiasts replace parts in their cars with high quality after-market products, those serious about having the best HCIT systems possible will do the same through interoperability. The house-wide components, the &quot;car&quot; itself, may come from Eclipsys or Siemens, but the &quot;engine, tires, rims, stereo, etc.&quot; will come from best-of-breed vendors like Picis.]]></description>
